Bill Thompson, Vice President – Engineering
Bill Thompson has owned and managed WRT Enterprises Ltd., a wireline/wireless
Telecommunications Consulting Company undertaking contracts to wireline and wireless
companies for various installation, provisioning and project management contracts for a
number of years.
Mr. Thompson has provided services to such entities as: Eastern Independent
Telecommunications (EIT) for electrical wiring and control systems; and T.R.G.
Associates of Calgary, Alberta where he developed a network architecture for Metronet, a
Competitive Access Provider.
Bill has held a number of salaried positions with Manitoba Telecom Services where he
was: Mobility Maintenance Manager and Cellular Systems Specialist responsible for all
mobility maintenance and Planning, Engineering and Implementation of the DMS-MTX
and Control Centre; Switching Supply Agreement Coordinator and Program
Implementation Team Leader responsible for the administration and coordination of
Supply Agreement Contracts where he conducted negotiations with large network
infrastructure system providers; Network Planner - Provincial Network; Switching
Specialist in Switching Standards, Network Systems; Engineering Associate Traffic
Facilities; Staff Associate, Plant Staff; and Central Office Journeyman.
Mr. Thompson is a resident of Gunton, Manitoba.
